Hit or miss
May 15, 2008I’m really not sure about this one.
To get started a little bit of background research to do. For anyone that hasn’t already seen them, I can highly recommend the Strongbad emails, from the Homestar Runner site. (I highly suggest this one or this one, you might recognise the first one if you’ve ever played the bonus songs on Guitar Hero II).
Now, Telltale Games, the geniuses behind the Sam and Max remakes, are developing “Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People”. A bit of a mouthful, but I’ve a feeling they can pull it off.
Whether I’ll get it for WiiWare or PC, I’m not sure. To be honest, I think I’ll wait for a demo before I make any kind of decision.
Hopefully if it can take the humour of the SB emails, with the talent of the guys at Telltale it should be OK. It certainly looks like it’s captured the look of the emails.
(The trailer might feel a bit freaky if you’ve not watched any of the emails).

hehe you gotta love strongbad I don’t think i’ll buy it though just love the first trailer strongbad now in all of the 3 of the glorious D’s
