Deduction
December 27, 2009And so I reconnect myself to the digital lifestyle that I have abandoned in exchange for a calm, peaceful, and most of all quiet Christmas.
I’ve just got back from seeing the new Sherlock Holmes film, which I’ve got to say is a lot more enjoyable than I thought it was going to be. Obviously you’ve got to disconnected it from any existing knowledge of the character that you might have and see it as a free standing entity.
Although Holmes now seems to be some strange love child of Bond, Doc Brown, and House’s psyche, and Watson is more hardened sidekick than tubby partner, Robert Downy Jr and Jude Law have done a great job in their roles despite the characters bearing little resemblance to as they are in any of the books.
All in all it’s a good film with some great moments, and I look forward to the sequel if there is one (though I expect there’s bound to be).

Also… Iron Man 2 trailer. Om nom nom.
