So E3 is exactly three weeks away, and while there’s always a huge amount to get excited about, there’s not really to much that I’m going to be gasping over this year.

It’s not that there’s no good games, it’s just that there’s not many that I’m really bothered about. Out of the twenty “big titles” that Gamespot are on about there’s seriously only three that I’m fussed about.

Fallout 3

I am looking forward to this, but I somewhat get the feeling it’s going to be a game that I won’t rush out to buy. The same feelings that I had toward Mass Effect, and Oblivion (which isn’t isn’t that strange seeing that it’s a similar game.

It’s not been that hyped, a little teaser here and a few screen shots there’s and that’s a good thing as everyone should know by now. As soon as you start building hype and expectation, you’re bound to disappoint unless you really pull something out of the bag.

Gears of War 2

Gears 2 has been pretty hugely hyped on the other hand. While I know it’s bound to disappoint to some extent, I’ll still end up getting it, if only for the next part of the story and a bit of multiplayer.

I get the feeling it’s going to be the Halo 3 of this year somehow…

LittleBigPlanet

I seriously can’t get enough of LittleBigPlanet at the moment, so I’m really hoping it lives up to my expectations. I’ll really be happy if it turns out to be a game you can keep on playing more and more of, and hopefully if it keeps on track with the user created content and sharing method’s it claims it’ll have it could end up being just that.

I think this years E3 will be interesting I have a good feeling that there is going to be a few very nice announcement this year. we’ll just have to wait and see

Maybe, but I just can’t think what they’d be at the moment. I know there’s been some rumours of Max Payne 3, but that’s about all I can think of.

The games market is very slowly going down hill with the big name brands churning out the same WW2 fps or sports games and leaving no room for the innovative and new ideas from the smaller companies who actually care about games and not just profit.

Im looking forward to a few games but those are ones of pure genius such as little big planet… my only problem is that the time it takes to make a game perfect for the ps3 is a long long time… MGS4 delayed almost 9 months but the end result was amazing to behold…

Little big planet will be no different… it is going to be something totally new, it is going to be awesome, the graphics will be flawless, and the seamless drop in drop out co op play is going to make it so much more exciting…

It is a game that has had thought, time and money put into it… where as most games today are churned out so quickly u are left sitting there thinking what the hell is this shite!

sorry for the rant lol but i know u probably agree in some sense

    My god. Essay!

I agree with you tbh, almost every type of game that comes out these days has been done to death. When I first played Guitar Hero I loved it because it was something new.

When you only get a few new ideas a year stuck between all the clones and sequels it’s gets harder and harder to get excited about all the new games.

I think LBP and Gears 2 might be coming out on the same day… I know which I’ll be getting.

  5. Craig says:

Ill just get both lol… but if money constraints are tight it will def be little big planet… gears can wait lol

how far u got on mgs 3 now?

  6. Ben says:

Not really played much of it. Been quite busy.

    Just met EVA.
