My XBox arrived back in Maidenhead today, I should be able to find out this evening if it’s a new box, or the old one fixed. But I probably won’t find out if it’s a new chipset or what ever until I get my hands on it in a week and a half.

Some serious game grinding to be done when I get back for Chrimbo. I’ve got a lot to catch up with. Assassins Creed to play through, Eternal Sonata still to be finished, and I still want to complete Halo 3 on the Legendary difficulty. Not to mention I’ll only have nine days from when I get back till I get my copy of Guitar Hero III.

Extra: From what I’ve heard it’s the old XBox with a completely new motherboard, which should mean that it has a newer chipset and the new bigger heatsink. The only downside I can see with it being my old XBox is that it most likely won’t have a HDMI port, which is no big loss anyway as I’ve always used a VGA cable.
