October 30, 2007I downloaded and played the Eternal Sonata demo earlier, and have to say I liked it quite a bit. I struggle to find time to play long RPG’s a lot and get annoyed with random encounters and boring combat that seems to be the same every time you play. Eternal Sonata puts a much more interesting spin on the way things have been done in RPG’s I’ve played before. It’s hard to explain the combat system, but I have to say it works really well and it’s a hell of a lot more fun than random encounters every few steps that end up being exactly the same as the one before it.
I might end up buying it, but probably not for a few weeks, I’ve got a plate load of Uni work to get done. Even if I do buy it, it may not get my full attention for a while with Assassins creed coming out soon so it may be one that I pick away at over a few months.
The box looks a bit flowery and cute, but from what I’ve seen of it I’m going to enjoy it at least.
